John Mittendorf is a self taught freelance artist and designer from Long Island N.Y.

Living a life to encompass over 50 years, his influences are wide ranging. From the early years of R. Crumb, G. Shelton, R. Bakshi and M. Webster to the later G. Wilson, R Kirkland and G. Larson.

Born in the 50’s - the heyday of monsters and superheroes, (less we forget the specter of the all dreaded A Bomb and it’s nuclear mutations) led him to his life long love affair with the genre which is seen in some of his works.

Zombies especially have caught his attention as of recent which is depicted in his latest works titled “ Zombies are People too”, The lighter side of the flesh eating walking corpses.
